Since 2015, VideoGuard offers support and sales of professional video solutions, acces control and license plate recognition systems from two locations. The head office in Zevenaar (near Arnhem) focuses on the German market and the area above the big rivers. The office in Bergen op Zoom focuses on the three southern provinces of the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. We managed to grow steadily from both offices and offer our customers the best support as possible.
We wanted to serve the German market better, since we recognize that this market keeps becoming more important to us. Therefore, we took a new step earlier this year and opened up a new office in Germany. As of March 2017, VideoGuard GmbH is a fact and we have an office in Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine Westphalia, which has 18 million inhabitants, comparable with the amount of inhabitants in all of the Netherlands.
A German legal person and an office location are important to be able to do business in Germany, but certainly not the most important. At this moment, both the website and marketing tools are still adjusted to meet the requirements that this large and interesting market demands. Two Dutch colleagues currently work at our office in Düsseldorf. We expect this number to expand in the long run and that German staff will be recruited.
The expectations we have of this part of Germany are high. However, we are also realistic and know that business in Germany is more difficult than in the Netherlands. But we are convinced that we will obtain a foothold in Germany, since the interest in our services in Germany is continuously increasing.
