Cyber security, access control and more!
View the first trend that we expect. More will follow in the coming weeks!
Companies will re-evaluate partnerships to meet the new cyber security standards.
Cyber security rules become the norm when governments introduce laws to make companies more responsible. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union was the first and was soon followed by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
With greater consequences lurking, companies are being forced to review the vulnerabilities of their security systems. They reassess their chosen solutions and the providers that support them. For example with questions such as:
– Are the suppliers and installers reliable?
– Do they follow good practices when it comes to cyber security?
– What accreditations or references do they have?
IT and security directors are opting for a proactive approach to cyber security, because they know that if something goes wrong they will be responsible They ask more in-depth questions and re-evaluate their partners with cyber security in mind.
